My Journey
I have lived in Reno Nevada for about 13 years. I really like it here because it feels like home to me. I could not imagine living anywhere else in the world because most of my family and all my friends that I love with all my heart. I am from Puerto rico though and that is where the rest of my big family is.


So the other year that I have been alive in this world, I was living in the best vacation place anyone could ever ask for. PUERTO RICO!!!! Puerto rico is my favorite place to go to get away from all the drama here in Reno and just have a really great time. I moved to this wonderful place when I was nine years of age. Puerto rico is one of the places where you go just to forget about everything and just have fun. While I was there, I had the best times of my whole life. The jobs and schools there were not very good, that is why we are not still there. I can’t wait to go back and visit.


Even though Puerto rico is cool and fun, like I said before, “Reno is like home to me because all my family and friends that I love are here.” When I got back to Reno everyone was so happy and wanted to see me a.s.a.p. So that was my greatest journey every. Maybe one day you could go there too.

My favorite journey was when I went LA. for a funeral. It was sad for a while but then we had fun. I saw my whole family that's when it was fun but it was still a sad trip.
It was sad but after we went to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. That place is so good but we went as a family. It was like 30 of us and we got a discount.
It was funny that it was suppose to be sad but everybody was happy. My Aunt Jean don't know her good but she died. I was crying really bad because of my dads speech.

My best trip/journey was when I went to my grandparent's house. It was a late Tuesday night when my aunt came into the kitchen. She said,"grandma and grandpa are renewing there vows so we are going down their for a few weeks." So Friday night we hoped on a greyhound bus and left Reno.

After a few days on the bus we arrived in El paso,TX. My grandparents were waiting out side for us. As we saw them they rushed us and hugged us. After arriving to there home I helped cook dinner. Plus I gave there car a tune up with my grandfathers help.

About two weeks later we got on the bus and started home. When we got home I cooked dinner for everyone.Plus I helped around the mouse more.

My beat trip that I have had out of all my trips was when we went to Florida for my dads basketball team. When he told us we were going to Florida I was so excited.
The plane ride to Florida was fun but very long! When we landed and stepped out the plane it was very HOT! While we were there we went to the beach, the mall, and went swimming at the hotel.
As we loaded the plane i was sad cause i wanted to stay cause it was always nice. But i wanted to go home to cause sometimes it was just way to HOT!

The most trip that i remmember was that going to the y.m.c.a in hawaii. It was fun but exciting because when i arived there it was a forest, really grassy that no one can't find you and also we had our own cabin that had a gaurd that was in front of our cabin door.

We would have a breakfest, lunch and dinner but for dinner we would alway's have pizza, hamburgers or nacho's and when we have special events going on every day; the first day we would had used a bow and arrow, we would be able to shoot much as we want.

We would have 3 day's and 4 night's of camp but at the last day of camp was specail because we would get to play in the pool that was very big and when it came night, the whole faculty that work for the y.m.c.a would play a mistery game about the ghost that there but when the next day came, we packed up and left but one day i might go back and think for a moment, i wish that i was a kid again.

My best trip was going to San Francisco, California.My dad drove we when with another family we went on a suburban truck it was big so evry one fit.The truck was 8 sit.The reason we went it because i was going to play a tornament of soccer.

My mom and dad stay in one room and the other family stayed in another room.All the kids stayed in 2 diffrent room.There was the tornamentat Okland California so my soccer coach tooked us in a big van.It want the far we when to Okland for 2 day.

The was the first time I wasent with my perant for 2 days.We won am the games we got in a fight vs the final team there where mad because we won.We kicked as.....we came back and picked up our parent.Ones we got to the hotel in sanfransico california.My dad packed the stuff and my dad droved back to Reno, Nevada. It was my favorite trip I expirece it because I never bin away from my parants for more then 2 full days.

Ramiro Ramos My journy

I just got home from school and now I'm on vacation. Then at my house we had lots of suitcase packed and getting ready for our trip to Mexico! Next we put everything we needed in our truck and started off driving on the road. I really didn't want to go in the truck because it was going to be a long trip, also crowded with mt family.
As we are driving we packed food so we wouldn't complain that we are hungry and we had snacks and some good sandwiches. The trip was really boring so we brought our portable DVD player, most of the time I was trying to go to sleep so the ride would be faster. Then finally we got there to my grandmas house.
Then we got there and said hello to every one in my family and i was excited! In my grandmas house we ate some good food and diffrent over there. If we toke showers and wanted warm water, I would have to get a lighter and heat up some pipes. Also the flee markets are really fun because they would have a bonce house and lots of stuff it's like a little carnival. Then we went back driving home but on the way there we chose to go to L.A. to vist my other family. We hung out at my uncles house then we finally went back home tierd!

This is the journey of me Jessica Saldana.ill tell you some thing about me.starting with i have six brothers the oldest is twenty eight and the youngest is eight teen there names are:Nickondro,Julian,Rutilo but his nickname is Tito,Luis De Jesus but we call him Chuy ,Therese also Noe,and last but not least my brother Guadalupe but we call him by his middle name Daniel.We'll those are all my brothers . i have only one little sister and her name is Victoria but i call her Vicky. i have to parent that live together there both from the same part of Mexico ,there from guanajoto DE la descubridota i don't really remember that much about it but what i do remember is my old house that my dad built for my mom when they first got married . i also remember was my grandma and grandpa's home i don't know but i just remember. but enough about the past lets talk about later in the future when I'm like three or four years old that was one of the biggest days in my life. I was three or four years old when i came to Nevada my dad was already in the u.s.a but he was bringing my mom over . my mom Daniel and i were the only ones coming to Nevada but my brothers are going to stay at Mexico with my grandma and i was sad at the fact that they were going to stay and not be able to come with me and my mother all though i was sad i was also very happy because i was going to Nevada and see my dad because i haven't seen him in wile . but before all that can happen we had to find out how to get there sooooooo?... i wondered and wondered for what was going to happen untill my mom told me she said that we were going to use my other family memmbers papers so we can get through .

Jessica Padilla (My Journey)

My best trip ever was going to mexico with all my family. The main reason we went was to visit my grandparents. We had ton's of fun over there seeing family we had over there and seeing & getting to know new places, and also going to parties. It was truley a memory i'll never forget.

My trip was very fun the best one yet, because i was with my cousins and everyone else. The part i didn't like was when i saw my grandpasad and

sick i felt so bad seeing my fun & energetic grandpa just sitting down with

tears in his eye's because he wishes he woundln't be sick so he could be

showing us around everywhere ,but he could barley walk.

lastley, i like this trip because i had alot of fun with the family going to places and just having fun,but also because it was the last time i got to

see my grandpa because a month or 2 later he passed away, im happy

i atleast got to see & be with him for that one last time.

Im always on a journey.every month i've been leaving to California and back like its nothing,I was jst out there for Thanksgiving in Oakland with the family.I've been having the funnest trip to Cali with my mains.The next time im going back is Christmas Eve.I can't wait because me and my sisters don't have much to do out here in Reno but Oakland.

I was just in Hawaii two months ago for my grandma's 87th Birthday celebration.I had so much fun!I wen't with my little big sister jane.We only stayed out there for a week!I was hopeing we would stay longer but we had school.The flight would take days to get there and back!The best Airline I've been on was Delta.My journey will not be over till the next time i go back to Hawaii for a big family reunion and my grandmas 88th Birthday,I can't wait because I've been wanting to meet the rest of my dads side of the family.

The longest journey I've been on was Salt Lake City in Utah.It takes eight or nine hours to take the bus their and back.That was the worst journey I've been on my whole life!I was sent there for the summer to stay with my auntie at her place for about a month.I wasnt having much fun as i did when i was living out there but I never got the chance to leave the house without the kids following me.All I did out there was clean and do whats askd like watch the kids witch is so annoying because their always doing something to piss me off like go through my stuff without asking.Long story short,thats all I have in mind.

the beginning of my journey was when my parents told me that we were going to California. we had to go because we wanted to be with our family for thanksgiving and we wanted to shop at blackfriday.
my parents woke me up at about 5:00 in the morning got all my bags and got in the car and we began our trip to CCalifornia. It took eight hours but we finally got here around 2:00 in the afternoon when we got there everyone greeted me and showed me where i was going to be sleeping and where i can put my bags. we were in finally in California and we had alot of stores and places that we had to go to and alot of things to buy.
The person that kind of showed me around every where we wnt was my cousin Jose when we went to a store he showed us all the best store and and all the good restaurants. My transformation from this trip was that now i learned my way around all the stores that we went to. i was glad that i returned so that i can go back to school to see all of my friends. From our trip our house got really cold when we went back and my sister was excited to go back to scholl because she wanted to wear all of her new clothes that she had gotten in California

Davin Lucero My hero's journey

Separation-It was the first time I ever went to Lake Tahoe. I went with my best friend Morgan and his mom and brother. We went up there for fathers day and i was scared because I had heard stories about the lake. It was the farthest I've ever been away from my mom so thats one of the reasons it was so scary.
Initiation-When we crossed into Carson I was getting really nervous. My friends mom calmed me down and told me the stories wern't true. That calmed me down a lot. After I got to the lake I had fun, I rode on a jet ski and I had the best veinameese food I have ever tasted.
Return-When I came back I was so sun burnt and tired. I caught a bucket full of crawfish and my grandma cooked them. After we ate I had to go help my friend clean the car of all the sand. Now every fathers day I go to Lake Tahoe with him and his family.

Deyanira Baca-My journey

One time I left the country and my family was when I went to Mexico. I didn't wanted to live my family. I just knew I had to because that was gonna be better for me but but I knew it was gonna be hard to be over there without my family and friends. But my parents told me all the reasons I had to go for.But my parents never make me do something I didn't want to do so they told me that it was my decision to either go or stay.

So I decided to leave when I got there to Mexico I stayed with my grandma,aunt and my cousin. I had to go because my dad wanted me to knew how to write,speak and talk the right Spanish. Because I did know how to do all that but not a lot like my family did. The only thing I needed was practice but I needed to go there for one year. The school I went was a private school and they would teach you how to speak English my dad putted me in that school because he didn't wanted me to forget how to speak English because he knew i was gonna come back.

At first I didn't wanted to anything at school the only thing I wanted was to come back with my family. I wasn't use to be without them I was young too. But my teacher Ana really talked to me and told me that for me to go back with them I needed to put effort in all that things I did at school. She also told me not only at school she told me at everything I did. So I realize that I hadded to work hard so I could go back . After one year I was back with my family and I knew how to talk,speak,write and understand the Spanish right.

Mele Kilioni My hero's journey 2 period

My best trip ever was Elko. We went there for a volleyball game. I had a really fun time because we had hecka food.:D We also, watched movies,slept,and listen to to ipod's. Well for me i had to do my test on our way to Elko. It sucks to do tests when we were going on a trip because my teacher Mrs. Longs was sitting right next to me and telling me to hurry. I was mad,but i still had fun though.
When we got there to Elko High School.We had to wait 45 minutes to enter inside the gym.When there school was getting out of there class they were lots of kids coming out.We were all laughing because we locked the Elko kids outside of there own gym.I know it was rude to do but we where bored sitting there for 45 minutes.
We went inside the gym getting ready to warm up.We saw tall Freshmen girls warming up.We thought we where going to win but we didn't we lost because our team didn't trust each others. So when we went back home we was watching scary movies.It was scary too.So that's my favorite trip ever!=]
